Youth for Tomorrow (YFT)–Education Programs


Description:
The YFT education program includes grades 7-12 for both residential and day school students. YFT's resident program has a structured vocational trainings in useful and appropriate skills, such as computer and other technological training, gardening, or cooking skills. Weekly vocational training is equally available to boys and girls during the school day or within the residential setting. The program focuses on the needs of children, adolescents and young adults who require more individualized, comprehensive and emotionally supportive education than they can find in most public schools. Enrichment programs including after-school tutoring, recreation, information technology, the arts, and clinical therapy are offered on campus. YFT operates a full-time program, on the standard 10-month calendar aligned with Prince William County Public Schools (Virginia), providing a minimum of 6 1/2 hours of academic instruction daily. YFT has a rolling admissions process which permits a student to enroll at any time of the year.
