Description:
The Virginia Treatment Center for Children provides short-term crisis stabilization as well as outpatient support. Prior to admission, the child must be screened by a qualified mental health professional. This can be the child's regular mental health provider or a screener in a hospital emergency room or community services board. The center works with families and communities to transition the patient come with continuing care following discharge. The average length of stay is 5-7 days.
