Virginia Systems of Care (SOC)

Description:
A Systems of Care (SOC) is the network of people and services that support families with youth who struggle with mental health diagnoses and other challenges. Virginia provides publicly funded services and supports to families using an approach called High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW). The goal of HFW is to help families get the resources and develop the skills needed to gain self-sufficiency. The process of getting support is family-driven, incorporates natural supports, and team-based planning. Every family has a HFW facilitator who organizes the team and a trained Family Support Partner who can relate to parents during the process. Virginia offers High Fidelity Wraparound to families as service called Intensive Care Coordination (ICC). Contact local Children's Services Act (CSA) Coordinator to find out if a child is eligible for publicly funded support.
