Description:
Shineforth (formerly UMFS) offers therapeutic foster care program in both Northern Virginia and Fredericksburg locations. Shineforth provides initial and on-going training for foster parents to ensure a continuum of education and support. Foster Parents receive ongoing support from Resource Parent Trainers (RPT) throughout the process; monthly support groups; 24/7 on-call support; and specialized trainings grounded in trauma-informed care, the Whole Brain Child, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
