STRIVE (Support and Training Resources for Independence and Vocational Education)

Description:
The STRIVE Program provides opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities to transition from school to post-secondary training, employment and successful community living. All classes listed change in content each semester so students can participate regularly. Students will be required to cover the cost of entrance/activity fees. Each course includes highly recommended parent meetings. The program prepares LD students for the challenges of adult living in career life planning; community based training, involvement, and employment; community service learning; recreation and leisure; social skills; academic referral; and residential living. The STRIVE program is a non-credit, CEU, certificate granting, college campus and community based career life planning program.
