Sound Start Development uses music and play to promote literacy, numeracy and executive function development in children 18 months-kindergarten. Board-certified music therapists use storytelling with rhythm, melody, and moving to a beat to promote literacy skills; finger play songs to promote counting and finding patterns, and learning through fine motor play to promote numeracy; and memory games to promote focused attention, solving problems, learning about feelings to promote executive functioning.
