Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Home works with families to provide therapeutic care to children while coaching parents to be capable and successful when the children return home. The program's goal is to return every child to their family within one year of placement. The program uses Trust-based Relational Intervention (TBRI) to assist children in regulating themselves and healing from prior trauma so that they can more readily connect with trusted adult caregivers. The entire family is expected to participate in all elements of the treatment because the entire family is the critical focus of treatment, not just the child.
