Description:
UMFS Leland House provides short-term (up to 45 days) intervention and stabilization for children ages 12 to 17 in Fairfax County who are in crisis and cannot remain in their home or current residential setting. UMFS Leland House empowers children to overcome their behavioral or emotional issues through individual, group and family therapy, education and recreational opportunities. Intensive Care Coordination is provided to families as part of the Systems of Care model. Intensive Care Coordinators and Family Support Partners work as part of a team to support Fairfax County families who have children living with mental illness. Services are for Leland House residents or may be provided on an outpatient basis.
