Holiday Lake is located within Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest. The center and surrounding park provide many camps and activities for families and people of all ages. Holiday Lake hosts several different camps throughout the year including family camps, Camp Loud and Clear for the deaf and hearing impaired, and Cloverbud Camp to introduce younger children to the 4-H program. The facilities include cabins, bunkhouses, and outdoor recreational facilities like canoeing, fishing, and hiking trails. Additionally, there are volleyball, tennis, basketball courts, a softball field, Junior Olympic swimming pool and covered picnic and pavilion areas.
