Extra Special Parents is a therapeutic foster care provider dedicated to placing children with physical or mental disabilities in quality home environments. All families certified by Extra Special Parents have completed psychological evaluations, comprehensive home studies, and pre-service training on topics such as strength-based parenting, Virginia's foster care system, trauma informed care, behavior management, among other relevant topics. Treatment Foster Care Parents are also provided with monthly training and support groups that cover various parenting and foster care topics. They also provide a variety of community-based support services.
