The Community Mental Health Education department at EveryMind focuses on increasing awareness and understanding of mental health and suicide prevention by providing mental health literacy and education to communities in DMV. The team offers multiple evidence based and other mental health & wellness training courses, including Adult Mental Health First Aid (AMHFA), Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), 988 Awareness, The Trevor Project Trainings: Ally & Connect, Accept, Respond, Empower (CARE), and Removing the Shame and Stigma of Addiction/SUD. Adult and Youth MHFA, QPR, and 988 Awareness can be offered in both English and Spanish. These trainings are designed to improve the attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs of individual community members and local organizations. Equipping them with education and skills to reduce stigma, promote early intervention, and engage with local and national resources.
