Description:
The Every Child Advocacy Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding equitable access to advocacy, education, support, and inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities and their families. Founded by an individual with disabilities who is also the parent of three children with disabilities, the Foundation is rooted in both lived experience and professional expertise.
Our board is also made up of individuals with lived and/or professional experience supporting people with disabilities, helping ensure that our work remains compassionate, community-centered, evidence-based, neuro-affirming, and trauma-informed.
The Foundation’s primary focus is access — reducing the barriers that prevent families from receiving meaningful support. This includes improving financial accessibility through sliding scale services, supporting multilingual, ESL, and non-English-speaking families, increasing communication accessibility for non-speaking and minimally speaking individuals, and helping families overcome transportation and systemic barriers to services.
The Foundation provides parent coaching, behavioral and family support, IEP and Section 504 advocacy, educational consultation, systems navigation support, inclusive community programming, and guidance for families navigating school, disability, and mental health systems. They also support families in addressing systemic inequities through advocacy efforts including records review, meeting support, complaint development, state complaints, and disability rights advocacy.
They provide services virtually, in person at people's homes, or attend school meetings at their schools.
Through advocacy, education, consultation, and community support, the Foundation works to empower families, strengthen inclusion, and promote dignity, equity, belonging, and meaningful access for all.
