The Ethiopian Community Development Council is one of nine national agencies authorized by the Department of State to resettle refugees in the U.S. The Matching Grant Program helps newcomers gain employment and provides clients extra financial assistance before achieving self-sufficiency. The Preferred Communities Program provides additional services to client populations that find themselves in the most need for up to one year. The Refugee Health Education and Outreach (RHEO) Program provides assistance with medical care and access to community health services beyond initial screenings. The RSS Program provides employment services and workshops to clients such as writing resumes and cover letters. The program does not provide cash assistance but allows enrollment in other programs such as TANF.
