The Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia helps families adjust to the birth of a child with Down Syndrome and provides them with educational, financial, medical, legal and social support and resources. They offer a wellness and recreation programs, education and skill development activities, and parent to parent support group and lecture series. Activities include things like Bingo, Buddy Walk, Football, Holiday parties, and picnics. Skill development activities include a cooking club, online reading programs, shoe tying clinics, relationship group, IEP consulting, and learning programs.
