The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a non-profit, donor-supported organization which funds research into a cure for cystic fibrosis. The Foundation supports the development of new drugs to fight the disease and to improve the quality of life for those with cystic fibrosis. The Metro DC Chapter conducts fundraising events in DC, Maryland and Virginia, including its largest event, Great Strides, where community members form teams through their workplace, through clubs and organizations or with friends and family, and join together for a family-oriented celebration.
