Children’s Speech and Language Services (CSLS) has long provided parents support for their children with developmental and/or speech-language challenges. Key to success in treatment is their way of looking holistically at children, at how the breakdown in communication affects family dynamics and social peer interactions, as well as academic performance. They tailor treatment by identifying weaknesses as well as strengths in every child. They thoroughly enjoy strong partnership with each family, knowing that it is only by working together that they can help children find their way through life…with words. Areas of expertise include treatment of childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and complicated impaired speech production using the PROMPT system, the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education’s Orton Gillingham method to improve phonological processing, reading and spelling, orofacial myofunctional therapy, feeding, early intervention, alternative and augmentative communication, social skills groups and fluency disorders, to name a few. Clinicians on staff include a PROMPT instructor, PROMPT certified therapists, a Certified Orofacial Myologist, feeding therapists, a LAMP Certified clinician, Orton-Gillingham trained therapists, Hanen trained therapists, PEERS® and social skills trained therapists.
