Children’s Regional Crisis Response (CR2)


Description:
CR2 provides 24-hour rapid response to all youth (17 and younger) facing a mental health and substance use crisis. Counselors provide phone screening and face-to-face assessment, intervention, and support. They can provide crisis support for aggression or self harm, thoughts of suicide, dangerous decision making, extreme social isolation, property destruction, hallunicnations or delusional thinking, and loss of coping skills. CR2 is provided at no cost to families. It is funded through both DBHDS grants and Medicaid. The counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park.
