Cherrydale's orphan and foster care ministry ministers to local and international orphans and to foster and adoptive families, helping meet their physical and emotional needs and sharing the message of hope through Jesus Christ. The Foster and Adoptive Families Support Group is an outreach of the ministry. Practical, emotional, spiritual, and educational support is provided to existing and considering adoptive and foster families at Cherrydale and in the surrounding Northern Virginia community. The group meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 11:00 12:15 pm. Meetings are held in Room 117 while children participate in their Sunday classes. Families meet to share stories, successes, and challenges and pray for each other and provide encouragement. Anyone who is currently an adoptive or foster family or those who are considering adoption or fostering are welcome.
