Bair Foundation is a Christ-centered agency that makes every effort to prevent out-of-home placements through intervention and by focusing on the strengths of the biological family. There are locations throughout the United States. Bair supports foster families through the certification process and after the placement is made. Families are well trained to ensure their success as they foster children and teens. Bair believes that foster families are the agents of change and want them to feel loved, appreciated, and valued. Services Bair provide in Virginia include Foster Care, Kinship, Family Services, and Independent Living services. The Bair Foundation, Virginia is one of three agencies chosen by the state implementing the Enhanced Therapeutic Foster Care (ETFC) - a critical program that bridges the gap between residential treatment and home for vulnerable youth. The ETFC program is funded by the state of VA and is an income replacement model providing $45,000 per year stipend in addition to foster care reimbursement.
