The Alexandria Community Services Board (CSB) is a group of 12 volunteers appointed by the Alexandria City Council to oversee the use of public funds to provide mental health, intellectual disability, and substance abuse services through the Department of Community and Human Services. The Department has a Center of Administration and three service centers: Center for Adult Services, Center for Children and Families, and Center for Economic Support. CSB meetings are open to the public.
