Ainsley's Angels is an organization that pairs endurance runners with individuals who have disabilities that prevent them from participating in races. Volunteer runners push athlete-riders in specially adapted chairs during events so that those with disabilities can also have the opportunity to run in races. An 'Angel Team' consists of (1) Angel Athlete-rider and up to (3) Angel runners being pulled. The team works together to SAFELY accomplish the mission, while staying together and having fun. The Angel Athlete-rider is the core of the team and pulls the runner across the finish line with smiles, cheers and immeasurable inspirational spirit. In addition to ensuring everyone can experience endurance events, Ainsley's Angels of America aims to build awareness about America's special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life.
