Accotink Academy is a therapeutic day school serving children age 6-21 who have emotional disabilities, developmental disabilities (including receptive and expressive language disorders), and specific learning disabilities in reading, mathematics and written expression. There school offers school-wide ABA implementation, clinical services, case management, art therapy, speech/language therapy, pragmatic language group, and occupational therapy. Accotink Academy also has a transition program that is designed to provide students with job sampling and work experiences beginning at age 14. They provide an assessment to indicate the student learning style, life skills aptitude, and career interest, and services to prepare for post-secondary education.
