Even Start is a free family literacy program for Arlington residents who have children under the age of 10. The goal of the program is to empower parents who are new to the country to help their children be academically successful. English classes are held 5 mornings a week. Parents also learn about literacy development, the US education system, Arlington Public School programs, and community resources. Children between the ages of 1 and 4 may participate in early childhood education classes on site while their parents study. Classes are held daily from9 am to 12 pm. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily.
