Family First is a comprehensive mental health practice in Northern Virginia that provides therapy and psychological testing services to children, adolescents, and adults in a family-friendly environment. The following types of therapy are offered: child and adolescent, parent-focused, adult, couples, and family. Family First also offers psychoeducational, cognitive assessments, developmental, social-emotional, and comprehensive testing services. The assessments objectively measure, explore, and identify strengths and weaknesses to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Psychologists will work with families to determine which type of evaluation is most appropriate for their youth. The practice offers psychoeducational, cognitive, developmental, and social/emotional assessments. Family First Psychological Services also offers support in advocating for educational needs (e.g., implementing school accommodations, IEP, or 504 Plan), developing a behavior plan for use at home and school, and/or facilitating communication among various professionals.
