The Virginia of Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) is offering vouchers for kinship caregivers. The Virginia Lifespan Respite Voucher Program can now provide up to $595 in reimbursement to Grandfamilies and Kinship Caregivers for the cost of childcare or recreational camps so they can take time to rest and recharge. To be eligible for this program you must live in the Commonwealth of Virginia, must be a kinship caregiver raising a minor child, and you must have custody of that child.
