Prince William Family Recharge: Free Child Care program

Update as of 10/23/20- All available slots for eligible families have been filled. Eligible families accepted into the program have been contacted by Formed Families Forward. If you applied and not been contacted, your application has been placed on a waitlist. We  understand Prince William families need more child care assistance but we have filled all slots available through our funding from the Human Services Alliance of Greater Prince William.

NOTE: As of evening, Tuesday, October 20, all program slots have been filled by eligible applicant families and their caregivers. We have started a waitlist in case enrolled families do not use the services. New applicants are welcome but please know the chances of receiving services are low!

Formed Families Forward is pleased to offer Family Recharge: Free Child Care to Prince William County families raising children and youth with disabilities and other special needs, impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

Families may receive an average of 20 hours a week of child care to allow parents and caregivers respite time to work, care for their own personal physical and mental health, and otherwise attend to professional, family and personal needs. To be added to the list, interested families MUST give name and accurate contact information for their chosen child care providers, and have their providers complete the application. A FAMILY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED INTO THE PROGRAM UNTIL THEIR CHILD CARE PROVIDER FILLS OUT AN APPLICATION FORM.

Child care providers will be paid $20 per hour and work as independent contractors, responsible for their own taxes.

Child care services may be delivered for a maximum of six weeks, between October 24 and December 4, 2020. Only services delivered during this window will be paid.
