Screen-Savvy Parenting webinar
July 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT
Bouncing Back: Strategies for Returning to the Classroom is a series of virtual training events for families to support the return of their students to the classroom for in-person learning.
Screen-Savvy Parenting is the first session in the Bouncing Back: Strategies for Returning to the Classroom virtual series. This session will devote 60 minutes to content presentation and Q&A, facilitated through Zoom. Participants will receive Zoom login information in advance of the session.
If thinking about screen time makes you want to scream, Screen-Savvy Parenting is for you. Together, the facilitator and participants will explore:
– Different kinds of screen time
– Pros and cons of screen time
– Screen time rules that support Relationship Building
Get ready to listen, learn, and hopefully even laugh while adding to your parenting toolkit!
Our presenter, Kasey Cain, LPC works as a resource counselor in Fairfax County Public School’s School Counseling Services office and as a therapist for the Wise Family. Kasey is a firm believer in the importance of respect, relationships, and authenticity. Kasey works collaboratively with children, families, and schools to address challenging behaviors and/or feelings. She encourages children and the adults that love them to find time to play and create everyday. When Kasey is not working, she’s most likely spending time with her family, walking her adorable dog, or reading. She’s been known to sneak in a nap whenever she can as well!
Each session in our Bouncing Back: Strategies for Returning to the Classroom series has its own registration. Sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays at 7 PM. Please visit www.FormedFamiliesFoward.org to learn more about the next session and to register.
