Returning to Post-COVID School: How to Help Students Thrive by Improving Organizational and Study Skills webinar
August 3 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT
Improving student skills — such as managing time and materials, planning and prioritization, and getting started and completing work — is critical to support a smooth return to in-person school.
This presentation will describe specific strategies to support skills such as getting started, paying attention, and note-taking and how parents can help students thrive by supporting the development of study skills.
Debbie Rosen and Lindsey Thoms, M.Ed. are the owners of The StudyPro, an executive function and study skills center in McLean, VA. The StudyPro works with students to help them better manage the “process” of school. This means helping students become better planners, time managers, initiators, organizers and completers of work. Most students aren’t taught these skills yet they are so deeply needed to be successful at school and throughout their careers.
