* Life Skills Training for Middle School Students

An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until February 13, 2020
Formed Families Forward is pleased to offer a free series of LifeSkills Training for middle school-age students who live in Fairfax County and city of Fairfax. This program is free of charge and participating youth can earn prizes and gift cards for regularly attending. Pizza dinner is served weekly!
Registration for our Thursday evening (January 9- February 13) Winter 2020 offering is available HERE. Note: classes will be held at Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center in Fairfax City. Participants MUST REGISTER through Fairfax City Parks and Recreation.
The LifeSkills Training curriculum is a proven, evidence-based program designed to promote health and personal development. Topics include:
- Self-image and self-improvement
- Making decisions
- Myths and realities about smoking, alcohol and marijuana
- Coping with anxiety
- Coping with anger
- Communication skills
- Social skills
- Resolving conflicts
