Identifying and Prevailing over “Surge Capacity Depletion” with ADHD webinar

December 8, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EST

The Northern Virginia and DC Chapter of CHADD are pleased to present our December lecture as part of our “Understanding ADHD” Lecture Series:

The pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for us all. But it may have greater impact on people who have ADHD. For example, many college students going into finals, they are experiencing depression, anxiety, fatigue, and stress more so than in non-pandemic times. They left home expecting a college experience – including socializing with other students – which is a huge part of the growth experience of college. But instead they are locked down in a dorm, seeing the same handful of people every day, or perhaps at home, trying to rally themselves to participate in impersonal online classes.

Jon Thomas, EdD, LPC, will discuss how the phenomenon of “Surge Capacity Depletion” manifests uniquely with adolescents and young adults who have ADHD.
