* Assistive Technology and Your Child: A Recipe for Success

Did you know that your child or youth with special needs has access to assistive technology (AT) that could make a big difference in his or her educational success? Come and join Geoff Weber, Assistive Technology Coordinator for the Virginia Department of Education’s Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) at GMU, to learn your rights, strategies for advocating for appropriate AT for your child during individualized education program (IEP) meetings, and how to choose the right devices. Formed Families Forward is pleased to host this event on-site at the Kellar Library in the Finley Building on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax. The Library will be open and available to families to use that evening as well!
